The Alex box

Today I went to Berlin for a couple of hours.In an outlet store I found this book" Alex box", a very inspiration for make-up artist. I think the term " make-up artist" doesn´t quite do Alex Box justice. I would call her " make-up visionary". Her Make-up  style focuses heavily on full-painted faces, big bad sky scraping lashes and outlined lips. But sometimes I have the feeling that someone just put some cream pie in the face of the model ...:-)
about Alex:In the first major exhibition of her work, Alex Box takes an unconventional approach to make-up. Alex has worked in collaboration with Rankin, who has shot the images for the book and exhibition, and has also worked with designers including Gareth Pugh and Karl Lagerfeld. She is also a regular contributor to i-D, Dazed and Confused and Vogue among others.

Make-up is all too often considered to be merely a technique used to enhance natural attributes: from the day to day beauty-conscious girl on the street, or for flawless skin under stage spot lights. It is all about the pretty.
